Plans call for a trail network that would connect pedestrians and cyclists in the city and town to the Dutchess Rail Trail, Marist College, the Walkway Over the Hudson, the riverfront and other key points of interest. Its northern tip would stretch to the under-construction Hudson Heritage development in the town, theoretically giving residents an alternate route to the ShopRite there and other services.
