Black Excellence Community Inc, was established to unify, uplift and celebrate the community within the City of Poughkeepsie and its surrounding areas. With the help of community organizations and corporate businesses, their goal is to provide academic scholarships to Poughkeepsie High School seniors attending a 2 or 4 year College/University. This year based on the overwhelming support of the Annual Black Excellence Community (BEC) Gala fundraiser, the 2023 BEC Scholarship Program will be awarding three (3) $1,000 academic scholarships.
