Swim Lessons:
The City of Poughkeepsie is offering free swim lessons this summer at Pulaski Pool (162 Washington Street, Poughkeepsie, NY). Registration is required for each child. Our 2026 lessons are currently full. Contact alord@cityofpoughkeepsie.gov to get on the waitlist.
Lessons run Monday through Friday. Each family may choose one time slot per session during registration. Lessons are grouped by beginner and intermediate levels. Our Recreation Specialist and/or lifeguards will notify you as to which session your child will be placed in.
Please note the following important guidelines:
- Only registered participants may attend.
- A parent or guardian MUST remain on the pool deck during the lesson.
- No other swimmers are allowed in the pool during class.
- There are no make-up sessions. Lessons may be canceled due to weather or pool issues.
