As part of their capital projects, the New York State Bridge Authority is planning to carry out necessary repairs, specifically the East Approach Rehabilitation of the Mid-Hudson Bridge. As expected with work of this nature, these repairs will unavoidably cause some traffic disruptions. The Bridge Authority has assured us that they will provide advanced notice of both the start of the work and the release of the Request for Proposal (RFP).
They have also emphasized their commitment to increasing awareness of the RFP among minority- and women-owned businesses (MWBEs) in our community and the surrounding region. Their intention is to create opportunities for these businesses to either submit proposals directly or form joint ventures with construction firms, thereby combining expertise and meeting the participation goals set forth in the RFP.
