Starting July 2024 (TBA), The Growing STEMZ Foundation will be holding their Seasons and Superheroes environmental education program, enhancing STEM understanding and promoting youth leadership in earth and climate science, gardening, and community action projects. Starting in July, the Junction will be an outdoor classroom for experiments and data collection using sundials and temporary garden beds. Lessons will also take place at Malcolm X Park where students will learn about the FallKill through water based activities. The Eatway will provide an opportunity for the students to present their projects and host science activities at The Junction, and will use their gardening lessons as opportunities to beautify the space around the market. For the schedule, email liz.growingstemzinc@gmail.com with any questions, or to sign up.
